Back to School Calories

So, I have officially been back to school for a month now and can I just say, I really like it! It possibly helps that I only look about 16, so I don't stand out in my classes as much as I thought I would. My business teacher is my age and has tons and tons and tons of energy. Not much to say about that class. I don't think I am learning a ton in there, but we get to hear lectures from some really fantastic people. Motivation to go out and do great things. Be extraordinary (quote from Grey's Anatomy which is possibly my new favorite show (about 3 seasons later then everyone else. Such is my life)). And for a quick bragging moment: I got 102% on my economics midterm. Sure it was a take-home test, but you all don't need to know that. And it's possible that only taking 6 credit hours compared to normal students who take 16, may give me a slight advantage when grading on a curve. But once again, you all don't need to know that either.

All this extra brain usage got me thinking last week. After finishing a take-out order of Chili's chips and queso, I decided to go online and check out the nutritional information. 1880 CALORIES AND 60 GRAMS OF FAT! Oh, ew, I almost died. Possibly of a heart attack. I post this as a warning. Just because something tastes good, does not mean it is good for you.

And last but not least, the topic of new Fall television shows needs to be discussed. The season premiere of 'Chuck' was on last night. I love that show because it is about a normal guy who gets to become a secret agent for the CIA. Awesome. My secret desire is for someone to walk up to me one day and ask me (seriously) to be a secret agent. 'The Office' was it's normal funny self. 'Fringe' is the X-Files for the new generation and I really like it. I read an article that said it might be cancelled because the audience wasn't quite big enough. So you millions of readers to my blog should tune in. As a side note, I wonder if they count shows that are Tivoed. I hope so, because that is the only way my contribution will count. Funny how I am more concerned about my television habits being rated by Nelson then I am about voting for the next president of the United States... So, what are your new favorite Fall shows?

I agree that Office was good, and I've always thought Chucked looked funny, but never really had the chance to get into it. What I'm MOST excited for is the Pushing Daisies premiere tonight! It is the most charming little show EVER, and the chemistry, and the drama, and the WRITING! I love it. If anyone else agrees with me, please share your testimony so we can spread the love to the non-watchers. Really, everyone. PLEASE!

I never got into chuck, or puching daisies. I tried, but thought the latter was a little too weird. I stick to the shallow, scandelous shows like Greys, private practice.... Big fan. I feel like we should have a grey's party and catch up on everything. Much like the Rocky marathon, or the X-files marathon, only strictly confined to doctors sleeping with interns, interns falling in love with patients, and serious-though possibly slightly unrealistic- medical miracles. I'll bring the chilis chips and queso!

I read about the Outback Steakhouse Aussie Cheese Fries with Ranch Dressing being the "worst food in America." How offensive is the innocuous cheese fries to your health? Oh, say, 2,900 calories,
182 g fat 240 g carbs.

Good thing you didn't have the Chili's Awesome Blossom: 2,710 calories 203 g fat 194 g carbs 6,360 mg sodium.

Actually, I am kind of hungry.

I would recommend tuning into biggest loser!!! Oh how I love to watch people loose weight. Such a winner. Also I sometimes tune into gossip girl and one tree hill. I can't say that I am a steady watcher though. Do you know when the Bachelor starts?

Hmmmm... I think I need to change the title of this posting (or at least the comments) to guilty pleasures. Gossip Girl? Really Albs?

I am always intrigued by Tyra's narcissistic personality, so obviously ANTM is a must. When choosing between reading a textbook chapter and watching ANTM, ANTM always wins. Fat foods for life!!

Once upon a time, you never updated your blog. There was much grieving in the land. Many tears were shed and Katie had to be "all drugged up" to survive. The end.

mmm.... I am also thinking that you need a new music selection. I am not feeling the same song every time I check your blog every once and a blue moon. Just a thought.

So since you aren't going to update your blog anytime soon, I thought that I would blog for you in a comment: My name is Ashley and I work and go to school. I am currently acing ALL or my papers. My teacher thinks I rock because I do. I have a new found love of Justin Timberlake concert DVD's (I plan on going to his concert if he ever comes in town and I will take my favorite sister Katie). I often spend quality time with my dog Bruno when I am not looking at funny stuff on youtube that Katie has shown me i.e. Flight of the Conchords. I miss Katie dearly. Obviously. Until next time, peace out. A-town.
